How to Consign

OVERVIEW:

  • Intake is by appointment Mon thru Fri 10am – 5:00 pm, for seasonally appropriate items. We welcome your call at (717) 391-8223
  • Review our checklist & brands accepted list.
  • You have an option to have us return any unsold items at a fee of $5 per season. Fee will be waived for any donated contracts.
  • Checks are issued at the end of the consignment period or when the last item has sold, whichever comes first. If you prefer, proceeds may be used as in-store credit.

 

SEASONAL CALENDAR: 

Spring:  Jan 1st thru April 1st

Summer:  April 1st thru July 1st

Fall:  July 1st thru October 1st

Winter:  October 1st thru Jan 1st

FUR ROOM Open October 1st thru Feb 28th

 

ITEMS ACCEPTED:

  • Women's Clothing:  Tops, sweaters, dresses, jeans, capris, shorts, vests, tunics, pants, leggings, tanks, blazers, athletic wear, swim wear, golf attire, formal wear, bridal wear, prom & homecoming dresses (seasonally), and furs (seasonally)
  • Women's Accessories:  Designer and brand name handbags and wallets, hats, scarves, and belts. Jewelry (Fine, costume & Vintage)
  • Women's Shoes:  Flats, loafers, sneakers, sandals, flip flops, wedges, boots (ankle, shooties & cowboy), heels, and pumps.

 

CHECKLIST FOR PREPARING YOUR ITEMS:

  • Items must be authentic, free of odors, stains, and repairs. Items found to be flawed during pricing will be donated without further notice to the consignor.
  • We prefer items to be within the current season and current style (within the last 4 years) however, we do appreciate select Vintage items.
  • Clothing: Pieces should be freshly laundered and put on hangers.
  • Shoes: Soles should be clean.
  • Handbags: Clean & wipe out all pockets.
  • Shoes, jewelry, and accessories may be brought in by tote bags or boxes. PLEASE NO TRASH BAGS. 
  • AGAIN, THINGS TO CHECK FOR: Broken zippers and missing buttons.  Stains, tears, rips, pulls, pilling, dry rot, and odors (pet, smoke & moth balls).  Are my items within the correct season?

 

CONTRACT TERMS:

  1. Pricing is set by Ooh La La Consignment Boutique and subject to discounts and promotional sales.
  2. Consignment terms are 90 days payable at 40-50% depending on brand.  Formal wear terms are 6 months and payable at 40-50% depending on brand.  A buyout option is available if you desire upfront payment vs consignment term.
  3. Payouts are done at the end of the consignment period or when the last item has sold, whichever comes first.
  4. Proceeds may be used as in store credit and usable at any time.
  5. All balances not claimed 6 months after contract end dates will be forfeited to Ooh La La Consignment Boutique.
  6. Every effort will be made to safeguard all consigned items, Ooh La La Consignment Boutique assumes no liability for damage to or the loss of any consigned items by means of theft, fire, accident or any other causes.
  7. If desired, consignor has 30 days after the contract termination date to retrieve any unsold items.  Any unclaimed merchandise after the 30 day period will become the property of Ooh La La Consignment Boutique for further sale or donation.
